Silhouettes of two people gazing at a shape in the sky

Regardless of the number of people who report – and even record – UFOs, the existence of extra-terrestrial spacecraft and their passengers from other planets continues to be debated. In an effort to raise awareness about UFOs, encourage open discussion and potentially encourage governments to acknowledge the possibility that such phenomena exists, UFO fanciers declared June 24th – the anniversary of the first reported UFO sighting -- as World UFO Day (some people prefer to celebrate UFO Day on July 2 to commemorate the Roswell Incident of 1947).

Celebrants gather, both online and in-person, to discuss UFOs, exchange information, report new sightings and promote their fascination with UFOs with UFO-themed literature, movies and other media events.

UFO-enthusiasts are invited to gather at the Grande Vegas Casino and celebrate World UFO Day with spaceship and alien-themed slots for a new and interactive perspective on the phenomena of Unidentified Flying Objects.

UFOs

The term "UFO" (Unidentified Flying Object) refers to an object seen in the sky that cannot be immediately identified. The US Air Force coined the term in the 1950s after it was tasked with investigating reports of "flying saucers." Some UFO sightings are explained as misidentifications but other reports remain unexplained.

Some of the eeriest UFO sightings that have not been debunked include:

  • Dyatlov Pass Incident - A group of nine hikers were found dead, with missing body parts and high radiation levels,in the Ural Mountains of Russia in 1959.
  • Rendlesham Forest Incident - Multiple witnesses, including military personnel, reported seeing a bright light and strange objects in the English Rendesham forest in 1980. Some individuals claimed that they actually interacted with some strange creatures at that time.
  • Roswell Incident - still considered the granddaddy of unsolved UFO incidents. In 1947, a mysterious object crashed near Roswell, New Mexico. The US government initially declared that it was a weather balloon but evidence has since come to light that indicates that it was a UFO whose space creatures' bodies were recovered and are still being hidden.

UFOs and Aliens in Media

Over the past 50 years, there have been many movies about UFOs and aliens. Some of the most popular movies that highlighted UFOs and aliens were:

  • Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  • War of the Worlds
  • Independence Day
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey
  • ET. The Extra-Terrestrial

Science fiction books have been popular for even longer – they include works by H.G. Wells, Orson Scott Card and Ursula K. Le Guin.

You can join for as little as $1 per play and win up to $10,000, just for guessing when the spaceship will travel further up into space and when it will crash to the ground. Your challenge is to anticipate the point at which the rocket will crash so that you can cash out before the crash.

Galaxy Blast is a fast-paced game where you simply push the button every time you want your rocket to keep traveling upward into space. You bet once, when the rocket starts its journey into the heavens, and your wager will be multiplied by the multiplier amount that's featured at the point at which you cash out. If the rocket crashes before you cash out – you'll have to wait until the next rocket journey to try again.

Galaxy Blast is played with other players from around the world who will be competing with you to see who can achieve the highest score. As your score is featured on the Leaderboard, in Real Time, so are the scores of the other players who are competing in Galaxy Blast on their own devices in their own areas of the world.

You'll watch everyone's scores rise and fall as you push to get your score to the top of the Leaderboard! If you manage to get one of the top scores, your score will be featured next to your gamer name for everyone to see!
